Stray Kids Expand 2025 dominATE World Tour: Fan Chant

Welcome back to Fan Chant, a weekly column for K-pop fans, stans, and newbies alike. The big news of the week is Stray Kids expanding their enormous 2025 tour yet again. When Stray Kids began to invoke the chant “everywhere all around the world” as one of their go-to slogans early in their story as a band, they may not have known just how prophetic this phrase would be. Cut to the eight-member act now entering their seventh year as a team, poised to take on their biggest world tour yet here in 2025.

After establishing a Billboard record, headlining Lollapalooza, and appearing on some of the biggest US awards shows, it’s clear that Stray Kids’ global popularity has been on the upswing for some time. But perhaps the best way to see proof of the band’s ascent is the ongoing expansion of the “dominATE” tour, set to arrive in the US in May. To play SoFi Stadium at all is an incredible feat, but shortly after announcing “dominATE,” they added a second night at the Los Angeles venue that can accommodate 70,000 guests for concerts.

Then, this morning, Stray Kids rolled out seven more stadium shows, one of which will give Stays in the Dallas suburb of Arlington, Texas another chance to catch the band in action, along with four nights in Japan and new dates in Madrid and Rome. “Stray Kids won’t stop breaking through all geographical and cultural boundaries to resonate deeply with global listeners,” read a statement about the new dates — and looking at the ever-expanding map, you have to believe them.

Song Rec of the Week:

I was blessedly introduced to Paul Blanco’s incredibly smooth voice when he featured on RM’s “Closer,” my favorite track off Indigo. This week, my Discover Weekly playlist gifted me with this song that Blanco recorded for K-drama Love Scout, and the OST track is so good it just might be enough for me to tune in to the show completely blind. I know absolutely nothing about this series, but I do know that this song is The 1975 adjacent, and also makes me think of another band I really enjoy, The Millennial Club. I love this chorus to bits.
