Legendary horror director and composer John Carpenter has announced a concert residency in Los Angeles this Halloween, which marks his first live performances in seven years.
The four-night run takes place at the Belasco Theatre on October 24th, 25th, 31st, and November 31st. Carpenter will be joined on stage by his longtime musical collaborators Cody Carpenter and Daniel Davies, and each night promises a unique setlist of music pulling from his catalogue of over 20 film scores and four albums.
Fans can register for a ticket pre-sale ahead of a public on-sale slated for Friday, January 31st at 10:00 a.m. PT via Ticketmaster. Carpenter has partnered with PLUS1 to provide $2 from each ticket to the Anti-Recidivism Coalition, which supports incarcerated firefighters; and to the Best Friends Animal Society, helping animals impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires.
Carpenter has also announced a special 10th anniversary edition of his Lost Themes album, featuring new artwork, expanded liner notes, and a bonus 7-inch featuring two previously unreleased songs. One of those tracks, “Cruisin’ With Mr. Scratch,” can be heard below. Pre-orders for the new version of Lost Themes are ongoing.
