Robert Pattinson is not only one of Hollywood’s best leading men, but also one of its weirdest. Who can forget the monstrous microwaved bowl of pasta “that you can hold in your hand” he made back in 2020 by layering sugar, cheese, and pasta onto aluminum foil and microwaving it, causing an explosion.
Luckily for movie fans, Robert Pattinson is gearing up for another press tour as his latest film Mickey 17, directed by Academy Award-winning Parasite filmmaker Bong joon-ho, will be hitting theaters in March.
Pattinson has already gifted us with a traditionally and delightfully weird quote, though, as he recently revealed that he would love to play Jackass icon Steve-O in a movie about his life.
“I remember listening to an interview with Steve-O years ago and he was talking about how much they got paid for these dangerous stunts on the first season, and he said a hundred bucks… There was something about that—actually being really brave and not ever acknowledging that it’s bravery,” Pattinson explained to Elle.
“I thought there was an element of that to Mickey. So I spent a long time kind of figuring out an impression of Steve-O’s voice. And the first time I did it, Bong [Joon-Ho] was just like, ‘Whoa—what’s that voice you’re doing?’”
While Pattinson ultimately didn’t get to use his Steve-O impression in Mickey 17 — the voice he did ultimately land on is equally bonkers, so don’t worry — he said that he’s ready and waiting for a Steve-O biopic to get made.
“If they ever make the Steve-O biopic, I’m ready,” he added.
In addition to Pattinson, Mickey 17 — hitting movie theaters iin the United States on March 7 — also stars Naomi Ackie, Steven Yeun, Toni Collette, and Mark Ruffalo.
