The first trailer from Universal Pictures’ live-action How To Train Your Dragon showed off a Toothless that looked exactly like his animated counterpart. However, in the latest teaser for the film… no, Toothless still looks just like his cartoon version. But he’s not the only dragon in this promo, and the rest of his flying brethren look like dragons come to life.
This new How to Train Your Dragon teaser trailer, titled “Warrior,” is once again heavy on Toothless and Hiccup. It also features the Vikings of Berk and their quest to defeat the fire-breathing monsters of their land. But this brief promo also provides some exciting footage that makes a compelling case for why this movie deserved a live-action remake. That includes a brief shot where a flock of colorful dragons fly towards the screen, as well as a sequence where we see dragons burning a fleet of Viking ships.

On the rugged isle of Berk, where Vikings and dragons have been bitter enemies for generations, Hiccup stands apart. The inventive yet overlooked son of Chief Stoick the Vast, Hiccup defies centuries of tradition when he befriends Toothless, a feared Night Fury dragon. Their unlikely bond reveals the true nature of dragons, challenging the very foundations of Viking society. The live-action How to Train Your Dragon comes from the same writer-director behind the animated trilogy, Dean DeBlois. It stars Mason Thames, Gerard Butler (reprising his previous voice role), Nico Parker, and Nick Frost. It also features Julian Dennison, Gabriel Howell, Bronwyn James, Harry Trevaldwyn, Ruth Codd, Peter Serafinowicz, and Murray McArthur.
The movie, with it’s cartoon-like Toothless and realistic looking dragons alike, soars into theaters on June 13.
