Yesterday, Matt shocked fans when he shared an Instagram post announcing that the couple had broken up.

“Father God, give Rachael and I strength to mend our broken hearts.
“Give us peace about this decision to end our relationship that transcends worldly understanding,” Matt penned in the bombshell post.
He added: “Shower our friends and family with kindness and love to comfort us.
“And remind us that our Joy comes from you, Lord,” complete with a broken heart emoji.
Fans were instantly baffled by the announcement because Matt had been posting content all week about his and Rachael’s trip to London.
The Bachelor star had even been sharing photos of all the food they had tried on their trip, with a photo of her pizza on his Instagram story when the announcement was made.
And now some fans are convinced that the because the announcement was so out of the blue, there must be something else going on.
Olivia Schueller shared a theory on TikTok about a possible engagement.
She said: “What if he is playing around with us right now to say they ended the relationship as boyfriend and girlfriend but they’re actually engaged?”
Another TikToker claimed that they are “secretly engaged”, adding how they want to “throw people off” with Matt’s post about their split.
The TikToker went on to say how a follower had sent him a message claiming there was “an engagement ring on her pinky finger” when they shared a food review.
ENGAGEMENT RUMORS
“So they’re trying to throw people off because they don’t want people to know they’re engaged yet,” he went on.
He then added that Matt commented on a TikTok about sushi earlier this week, writing “wedding food” under a comment where someone said they want them to get married.
Reacting to the TikTok video on X, one person said: “They’ve posted way to may videos together over the last little bit for it to be a breakup.”
Another added: “If they are secretly engaged, that’s bizarre to cover it up with a breakup announcement.”
While a third penned: “Throw people off for what though?”
She didn’t know he was going to do that and definitely wouldn’t have approved of it if she did.
A Source Close To Rachael After The Announcement
This comes after a source close to the couple exclusively told The U.S. Sun that Rachael’s family are still trying to piece together what’s going on.
‘SHE WAS BLINDSIDED’
“Everyone is confused and still trying to get to the bottom of what happened but first and foremost, they’re supporting Rachael and making sure she’s okay.
“They didn’t know they were fully broken up. Rachael is being pretty quiet right now but I know she was blindsided by Matt’s post.
“She didn’t know he was going to do that and definitely wouldn’t have approved of it if she did.
“And she thinks it’s just as weird as everyone else does, she’s humiliated that’s how the news came out,” the insider said.
The source went on to say that Rachael is “the one who pulled the plug, full stop” and that while Matt “knows what he did”, ultimately, it is her story to tell.
