If you were looking for a reason to smile today then you came to the right place because this is one of the more heartwarming stories we’ve seen in a long time. Spencer from SBMowing, the immensely popular social media channel where he goes around and mows/cleans up extremely unkempt lawns, has changed the life of an elderly disabled woman by crowdsourcing kindness for her.
For those not familiar with Spencer from SBMowing out in Kansas let’s take a look at the numbers real quick. He has 3.8 million followers on Instagram, 11.6 million followers on TikTok, and another 2.37 million subscribers on YouTube. He has built a massive following through his videos where he goes around to homes with overgrown landscaping that are in dire need of help and offers to do the landscaping for free. Sometimes he finds the homes himself, sometimes the city tips him off, and sometimes his followers do.
His videos are then him cleaning up those lawns where the landscaping portion is sped up and it’s a very soothing before/after niche that he has carved out for himself. Chances are you’ve seen *at least one* of his videos before as they’re seen by hundreds of millions and I saw someone on TikTok recently estimate he makes upwards of $15K/mo just from TikTok revenue alone.
For his latest set of videos, the city tipped him off about an elderly woman who was unable to mow her lawn. The city was going to have to come out and mow the lawn but the elderly disabled woman later told Spencer she wouldn’t be able to pay for it herself on a fixed income. So he did it for free. Here is that first video which has been viewed 90 million times on TikTok alone:
He then put out at GoFundMe to fundraise money to get her some badly needed repairs to her home… New stairs and an electric chair so she wouldn’t fall. A ramp so she could safely get in/out of her door. Things of that nature.

The public support has been incredible. Within hours several hundred thousand was raised. Now, ~2 days after the launch of the GoFundMe, $735,715 and counting has been raised. Nearly 30,000 individuals have already donated!

The initial fundraising goal as just $100,000 and everyone blew past that within the first hour. After raising over $550K, Spencer went back and told Beth about the money that had been raised to help her make her home safer. Her reaction is truly heartwarming.
