It is happening… again: David Lynch and Mark Frost’s Twin Peaks is getting a new physical media release on February 3rd. The reissued box set, entitled Twin Peaks: From Z to A, is now available for pre-order on Amazon.
Few shows have had an impact on modern-day television the way Twin Peaks has. Originally premiering on ABC in 1990, the mystery drama lasted two seasons before its cancellation, after which Lynch then directed the 1992 film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me (which didn’t do much to wrap up the series). The story then remained dormant until 2017, when Lynch and Frost reunited for Twin Peaks: The Return, a third season of the series produced for Showtime.
Originally offered as a limited release in 2019, From Z to A brings together all three seasons of the series and Fire Walk With Me, along with more than 20 hours of bonus features, including behind-the-scenes content and deleted scenes. Most importantly (at least for those who like freeze-framing their way through Lynch’s work in search of clues), the set features 4K UltraHD versions of the original series pilot as well as “Part 8” of The Return.
