Composer Bear McCreary is embarking on his first-ever North American tour.
The six-show outing runs through May, kicking off on the 22nd at the Gramercy Theatre in New York City, hitting Boston, Washington D.C., Montreal, and Toronto before a final show on May 31st in Chicago. Prior to that leg, McCreary will be overseas for the UK/European leg of his “Themes and Variations Tour.”

A Live Nation ticket pre-sale for select dates begins Thursday (January 16th) at 10 a.m. local time using the code OCTAVE. General ticket sales start Friday (January 17th) at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.
Said McCreary in a press release: “After celebrating the 20th anniversary of my first screen credit, for composing the music to 2004’s Battlestar Galactica, along with the release of my debut rock record, The Singularity, the time has finally come to take my music on the road! I am thrilled to perform highlights from throughout my career and visit some of my favorite cities in the world. I look forward to connecting with fans and bringing my music to bombastic life on the concert stage. Let’s go!”
McCreary is best known for his scores in the television and video game industries, including soundtracks for the aforementioned sci-fi series Battlestar Galactica, The Walking Dead, the God of War video game franchise, Outlander, and The Lords of the Rings: The Rings of Power.
He’ll be playing music and themes from those scores on the upcoming tour, as well as material from his 2024 debut solo album The Singularity, which features a star-studded list of guest appearances from notable metal and rock artists such as Slash, Serj Tankian, Corey Taylor, and more.
