Los Angeles trio Cryogeyser has unveiled ‘Stargirl,’ the latest single from their self-titled album due out February 14, 2025.
‘Stargirl’ is a slow-burning, evocative track that grapples with the fleeting nature of connection and the inevitability of grief. Guided by guitarist and vocalist Shawn Marom’s introspective lyricism, the song dwells on small moments and unanswered questions, creating an emotional depth that resonates deeply.
Marom explains:
“I wrote this song 3 weeks after the release of the last Cryogeyser record. It’s my most cherished song, everyone I’ve ever loved has had their hands on it; whether it was jamming in the room, writing the bass parts, recording it, tracking it, inspiring it, changing it, expanding it, or remembering it at shows. For me, ‘Stargirl’ is like time traveling—it has meant so many things to me, and I wonder what it will mean to all of you.”
As Cryogeyser prepares for its February album release and subsequent North American headline tour, ‘Stargirl’ provides a glimpse into the album’s themes of transformation, grief, and self-discovery.
