We learned that Tom Holland and Zendaya are engaged, and now, new details are coming in!
Earlier today, we learned that the 28-year-old actor proposed sometime between the Christmas and New Year holiday at home. Her family wasn’t present, and it was supposedly a “romantic and intimate” moment between the two of them.

According to TMZ, Tom reportedly met with Zendaya‘s father, Kazembe Ajamu Coleman, “months ago” to get his blessing to propose. The site shared that Tom is “very traditional and felt it was important to secure Kazembe‘s blessing first.” He of course said yes!
The family thinks Tom is “a class act” and are reportedly thrilled by the news of the upcoming marriage.

As for why Tom didn’t propose months ago if he got her dad’s blessing, it is because he wanted to wait for a perfect moment to do it!
And there probably won’t be a wedding very quickly, as they are both busy with projects and “it will be a bit before they dip into wedding planning.”
