The world’s richest man, Elon Musk, showed off his weight loss while dressed up as ‘Ozempic Santa’ on X (formerly known as Twitter). Musk later made sure to clarify that he’s been taking Mounjaro, not Ozempic.

Musk’s wealth has gone through the roof over the past year and he has seen his personal fortune swell by $245 billion in the past 12 months, according to the Bloomberg Billionaire Index. With a net worth of $474 billion, Elon Musk is now worth more than the 2nd and 3rd wealthiest individuals on earth combined (Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg).

You’d think that with the largest verifiable collection of net worth ever amassed in recorded history, Elon Musk would have better things to do than hype up weight loss drugs but you’d tink wrong because that’s exactly what he was doing on Christmas night in front of this tree that seems like it would accommodate 20x more presents around it:

His former protruding belly is noticeably absent in that photo. As for why the world’s wealthiest man, Elon Musk, clarified he’s taking Mounjaro while dressed up as ‘Ozempic Santa,’ …. Well, he clarified that in a follow-up post. Someone asked him about gut pain and Elon says he’s tried Ozempic in the past but that it made him into an exploding ball of gas:

Elon’s physique has been a point of discussion several times over the past few years. Notably, when it seemed like Musk and Mark Zuckerberg might get into the octagon together for an MMA match people were quick to assume Elon would win because he weighs around 300 pounds while MZ is around 154 pounds on any given day.

There were also those paparazzi photos of Elon Musk on a yacht that garnered so much attention Elon’s own dad said he was no longer proud of him due to his physique. An unfair and harsh criticism, to be sure. And Elon is looking better now that he’s using weight loss drugs and appears to be getting enough protein so he doesn’t get the Ozempic/Mounjaro face that happens with rapid weight loss without adequate amounts of protein.

Nevertheless, in the replies on X to Elon’s post people had some jokes. Someone asked “is that real or Grok?” implying that Elon might not be as slim as he wants to appear to be. At least one person asked if he was training for a Mark Zuckerberg bout. Overall though, as is the case with anything Elon posts, all of the replies are from his most diehard fans and there’s generally no real substance to them.
