Apple Martin Faced ‘Mean Girl’ Allegations After The Le Bal des Débutantes Event
At the prestigious event, Apple was one of 20 young women aged 16 to 22 to be introduced to high society at the annual event.
She arrived with her date, Count Leo Henckel von Donnersmarck, and then enjoyed the evening with her famous parents.
At one point, Apple and Martin shared a father-daughter dance, captured in a video posted by the TikTok account @gala.fr.
However, despite the heartfelt moment, Apple faced criticism for allegedly displaying “mean girl” behavior, including “hogging the camera” and “rolling her eyes” at her date after a video showed the 20-year-old playfully stepping in front of the camera as young French countess Loppin de Montmort posed for photos.

Apple Martin Was Described As A ‘Girl’s Girl’
De Montmort, the alleged victim of Apple’s “mean girl” attitude, defended her in a chat with People Magazine.
“[Apple’s] genuinely the nicest girl ever! She really doesn’t deserve an ounce of what she’s getting,” de Montmort said. “She was the nicest girl ever towards not only me but all the debs!”
A source close to Paltrow also defended Apple, telling the Daily Mail that Apple is a “girls’ girl” rather than a “mean girl.”
The insider explained, “Apple’s more playful and fun, and she’s really a total girls’ girl. She would never mean to take the spotlight from anyone, that was not her intention. To characterize her as a mean girl is very untrue.”
“She really had such a wonderful evening and I feel bad that this is even taking away from that because it was such an uplifting evening for her and the other girls,” they added.

According to the Daily Mail, one friend beside her mouthed, “We are such a delight; we are two of the funniest girls,” while Apple gave her a mock dirty look.
The voiceover continued, “And I know us offline—when I tell you, there aren’t two more generous, charitable, kind…”
Chris Martin Talks Being An Empty Nester With His Two Kids In College
In his interview with Rolling Stone, Martin discussed adjusting to life as an empty nester, with both of his children now away at college.
“It’s sad. That’s the only word,” the musician admitted. “But of course, it’d be weirder if they were still like, ‘I can’t leave.’ Then you’d be more worried.”
Talking about his children, the “Fix You” singer joked, “I like them very much. Even though they’re not biologically mine—I’m breaking the story now.”
He also shared a playful way of embarrassing his 18-year-old son Moses.

“My favorite new thing to embarrass my son is if we’re walking down the street and someone comes up to us and they say, ‘I’m sorry to disturb you while you’re with your son,’ I say, ‘That’s not my son. That’s my partner,” Martin said. “Yeah. I like them a lot. I think they are mine, to be fair.”
