Jennifer Lopez seems to believe that her ex-husband Ben Affleck wants to get back together with his other ex-wife, Jennifer Garner. Alleged inside sources that are close to the pop star say she “fully expects” the Oscar winner to attempt to reunite with Garner, who is the mother of his three children.
There have been tons of reports in recent weeks regarding the relationship between Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, who officially got divorced in August after two years of marriage. Affleck is reportedly “closer than ever” with Garner these days and it’s got Lopez feeling some type of way, according to sources.
Lopez has also reportedly been feeling frustration over the fact that Affleck seems to be “far more comfortable” around Jennifer Garner and his kids than he is with she and hers.
“Those in the singer’s inner circle certainly have their suspicions, with Lopez reportedly ‘fully expecting’ her ex-husband will attempt to rekindle a relationship with the mother of his children,” reported RadarOnline in an article detailing Lopez’s “fury” about the situation.
“One Hollywood insider says Lopez, 55, thinks her predecessor was unintentionally ‘casting a shadow’ over her two-year marriage to Affleck, which ended earlier this year.”
Over the weekend, the trio were all at attendance at the school play of Affleck’s kid Fin and Lopez’s child Emme — one of many instances of their new “blended family” in action in recent months. According to reports, Lopez has been trying to push for spending the holidays together for the sake of their children, with Affleck seemingly not buying it and believing her motives are more selfish.
“Ben has been trying to distance himself from Jen, but she just won’t let him. She’s been showing up at the same events as him and demanding they continue doing group activities with the kids. Now, she’s pushing for them to do joint celebrations for Thanksgiving and Christmas, saying it’s for the children, but Ben isn’t buying it’s just about them,” a source said prior to Thanksgiving.
On Monday, December 16, Lopez attended a screening of her new film Unstoppable, a biopic about one-legged NCAA champion wrestler Anthony Robles that was produced by Affleck’s production company that he co-founded with Matt Damon, Artists Equity.
Unstoppable, which will be released on Prime Video on January 6, also stars Bobby Cannavale, Don Cheadle, Michael Pena, and Jharrel Jerome in the lead role of Anthony Robles. While Affleck hasn’t said much about the project since the pair’s divorce, he did say in November that Lopez is “spectacular” in the film.
