Ben Affleck is taking extreme measures to keep ex-wife Jennifer Lopez out of sight and out of mind. According to recent tabloid reports, the Academy Award-winner has installed filters on his phone in order to block any news about Lopez.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, who originally and famously dated in the early 2000s, reunited in the 2020s and got married in July 2022 before filing for divorce in August 2024.
The pair have been inextricably intertwined in the months since, however, both due to their now-blended families and the fact that Affleck is the producer of Lopez’s next film Unstoppable, a biopic about one-legged NCAA Champion wrestler Anthony Robles.
“Ben doesn’t look at the internet – especially anything about his divorce from JLo,” an alleged inside source told the Daily Mail. “He avoids social media and does not click on anything to do with her. In fact, he has a JLo filter on his phone so that the browser doesn’t allow anything that contains her name in it.”
Despite filing for divorce in August, Affleck and Lopez have been making tons of headlines recently due to reported drama within the family around the holidays. Reports indicate that Affleck and his ex-wife Jennifer Garner are “closer than ever” and that Lopez blames Garner for the circumstances surrounding how the family will spend the holidays.
Lopez’s movie Unstoppable, in which she stars as Anthony Robles’ mother, will be hitting Prime Video on January 6. The film also stars Jharrel Jerome in the lead role, in addition to Bobby Canavale, Michael Pena and Don Cheadle.
Unstoppable was produced by Affleck’s production company Artists Equity, which he recently founded with best friend and longtime creative collaborator Matt Damon. Artists Equity is also producing an adaptation of the 1990s Broadway play Kiss of the Spider Woman, which Lopez is also set to star in.
