Whether or not Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are married, divorced, in the process of divorcing or trying to reconcile seeming changes every day at this point. Which is unfortunate for Affleck’s ex, Jennifer Garner, who gets thrown into the middle of it all due to their blended family.

Affleck is reportedly “closer than ever” to Garner amid is seemingly ongoing divorce with JLo. But JLo isn’t exactly a huge fan of that, blaming Garner for some recently holiday drama. If that’s the case, then things must have been exceeding awkward when the trio all converged on the same place to watch a school play containing Affleck and Garner’s child Fin and JLo’s kid Emme were both performing in.

TMZ reports that it’s unsure whether the three of them actually spoke with one another, but Affleck was seen speaking with Emme at some point during the evening.

Affleck and Garner, who divorced in 2018, co-parent their three children together. But Affleck’s relationship with JLo’s is reportedly a bit more icy, especially as divorce proceedings trudge along.

The difference in relationships was on display recently when Affleck chose holiday time with Garner and co. over JLo.

“Let’s face it, spending time with Jen and their kids is just much more comfortable than trying to do the blended family thing. He’s so at ease with her, there’s no tension, no pressure, he can totally be himself,” a source told InTouch Weekly.

Given everything that’s been written about JLo, that’s not exactly a huge surprise. But it’s easy to see why she’d be upset and how it could make things awkward between the three of them.
