King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard joined forces with the Songs for Kids Band to perform a special rendition of their 2024 song “Flight b741.”
Taking place at the Fabulous Fox Theatre in Atlanta, the performance serves as the fourth episode of The Songs for Kids “Young” Series. Songs for Kids is a 501(c)3 non profit that provides music mentorship and programs for kids and young adults (through age 39) with disabilities, illnesses, and injuries. According to their YouTube page, their resident band, The Songs for Kids Band, is an ensemble comprised of members of their mentorship program, and “emphasizes the power of teamwork and support for each other, bringing together kids that would otherwise be on a more solitary journey.”

King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard may be supporting the release of Flight b741 still, but as usual, they’ve got yet another album on the way. They revealed the new album’s first single, “Phantom Island,” back in October along with the announcement of a 2025 orchestral tour taking place in the US.
