For this first time in 10 years, Alison Krauss is linking up with Union Station and Jerry Douglas for an enormous 73-date (!) North American tour. To accompany the announcement, the group also teased that they have new music coming in 2025.
Dubbed the “Arcadia 2025 Tour” and featuring special guest Willie Watson, the expansive run kicks off on April 17th in Louisville, Kentucky. Then, Alison Krauss & Union Station featuring Jerry Douglas are set to stop by cities like Chicago, Nashville, Philadelphia, Toronto, New York, and more before bringing the jaunt to a close in Hollywood, Florida, on September 28th. An artist presale for Alison Krauss & Union Station featuring Jerry Douglas’ upcoming dates go live on Wednesday, December 4th at 10:00 a.m. local time (sign up for access via Krauss’ official website). Additionally, a Live Nation presale launches Thursday, December 5th via Ticketmaster (use code JOY). Then, the public ticket on-sale will follow on Friday, December 6th at 10:00 a.m. l0cal time.
Notably, IIIrd Tyme Out vocalist and guitarist Russell Moore will join Union Station for the “Arcadia 2025 Tour.” The rest of the lineup includes classic members Ron Block, Barry Bales, and the titular Jerry Douglas.
“I’m so grateful to get to make music again with my comrades of 40 years,” Krauss said in a statement. “They’ve always accomplished incredible work individually and have been constantly traveling because of it. We’re very inspired to experience this new exciting chapter in the band’s history.”
Krauss and company have also announced that they are planning on releasing the follow-up to their 2011 album Paper Airplane sometime in 2025.
