Dax Riggs conjures haunting energy with ‘Even the Stars Fall’

Dax Riggs has unveiled ‘Even the Stars Fall,’ the second single from his upcoming album 7 Songs for Spiders, marking his first full-length release in 15 years.
‘Even the Stars Fall’ is a buzzing, droning meditation on human collapse and the beauty of failure. Riggs’ unmistakable voice is at the forefront, weaving hauntingly melodic lines through a rich sonic landscape shaped by enveloping production.
The single follows the release of ‘Deceiver,’ which garnered praise for its ultra-distorted yet hummable gloom. Both tracks serve as a preview of the experimental sound Riggs explores on 7 Songs for Spiders. Recorded in the swamps of Southern Louisiana, the album blends world music, gospel, and proto-metal influences with Riggs’ signature dark folk-metal balladry.
‘Even the Stars Fall’ is out now. 7 Songs for Spiders is set for release on January 24, 2025.
