Adult Leisure unveils raw social commentary in new single ‘Kiss Me Like You Miss Her’

Bristol’s Adult Leisure bring searing introspection to the forefront in their new single, ‘Kiss Me Like You Miss Her. ‘ The hard-hitting track challenges the listener to examine the socio-political climate in the UK today.
Following their August release ‘Borderline,’ Adult Leisure’s latest single layers gritty guitar and rich melodies with snarling call-and-response vocals, evoking influences from bands like Fontaines D.C. and The Cure. Produced by Ollie Searle at Humm Studios and mastered by John Webber, the track blends genre-spanning elements, pairing shimmering synths with explosive drum lines to capture a sense of defiance and resilience amid frustration. Lyrically, the song is both a personal narrative and a societal observation, expressing the band’s disillusionment with the state of Britain in the lead-up to the 2024 election.
“‘Kiss Me Like You Miss Her’ holds a lens firmly on the state of Britain, pre-election 2024,” the band shares. “We wanted our chance to express that anger. Life still isn’t good, and our way of dealing with it is through music – this is our petulance and frustration in a song.”
