Toni Cornell, the 20-year-old daughter of late Soundgarden and Audioslave singer Chris Cornell, has announced she is releasing her debut single, “Sunset of Your Love,” on November 21st.
In the caption of an Instagram post announcing “Sunset of Your Love,” Toni revealed the song was written with Mozella and produced by Dave Hamelin. The latter worked on Beyoncé’s Grammy-nominated “16 Carriages.” Pre-saves are ongoing.
The post also features a preview of the pop-rock track, which features lyrics like, “All I know is I’m not ready/ ‘Til you find me/ I’ll be waiting in the sunset of your love.” Check it out below.
Technically, “Sunset of Your Love” isn’t the first song Toni has released. Back in 2019, she shared a track called “Far Away Places.”
Over the past several years, Toni has performed several covers, including Temple of the Dog’s “Hunger Strike,” Pearl Jam’s “Black,” Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah,” and Prince’s “Nothing Compares 2 U,” the latter of which was her father’s favorite song to cover.
More recently, Toni blasted TMZ for publishing (and quietly deleting) a photo from the death scene of late One Direction member Liam Payne.
