Katherine Schwarzenegger has officially welcomed her third child with actor Chris Pratt.
“We are overjoyed to announce the birth of our son, Ford Fitzgerald Schwarzenegger Pratt,” the couple announced Monday in a joint Instagram post. “Mama and baby are doing well and Ford’s siblings are thrilled by his arrival. We feel so blessed and grateful.”
Schwarzenegger subtly confirmed the pregnancy in July when she posted an Instagram photo of her baby bump. The “Gift of Forgiveness” author, who married Pratt in 2019, also shares 4-year-old Lyla and 2-year-old Eloise with him.
Although Schwarzenegger’s father, Arnold Schwarzenegger, has yet to publicly comment on the additional grandchild, the author has received joyous tributes in the comments of her post, including from her mom, Maria Shriver, Pratt’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” co-star Zoe Saldana, Mario Lopez and Kelly Rizzo.
“He hit the parent jackpot! And of course the grandparent one too lol,” Shriver wrote, adding in another comment, “And I’m so over the moon for all of you.”
Pratt also has a son, 11-year-old Jack, with ex-wife Anna Faris, which made for an awkward Mother’s Day tribute last year when Pratt omitted her name in a glowing celebration of Schwarzenegger and “all of the mothers out there.”
Many were disappointed when their family-friendly Marvel star divorced Faris. She later shared that she struggled with “emotional vulnerability” during their union but that neither she nor Pratt are into “grudge-holding.” Faris has since married cinematographer Michael Barrett.
Back in May, Pratt spoke with E! News about the differences between fathering Jack, Lyla and Eloise.
“I hate to make generalizations based on gender but, in my experience, girls are more emotional,” he said. “They’ve got me wrapped around their finger. It’s wild … They like to hear stories more than they like to wrestle.”
