Champion arm-wrestler Sarah Bäckman is not just a powerhouse in her sport but also a source of inspiration for her fans on Instagram. Recently, she shared photos in workout gear, with a powerful message: “Lazy people do a little work and think that they should be winning. Winners do as much work as possible and still worry that they’re not doing enough ❤️🔥” she wrote, embodying her dedication to training and improvement.
Bäckman posts a lot of her favorite workouts on Instagram. One thing she likes to do is climb ropes. Bäckman shared this climbing video on her page. She captioned it, “Reverse climbs today, it’s been a couple years… Such a love-hate relationship. It’s painful AF, and mentally draining, but a cool feeling when it works. I also want to believe it’s good for toproll ❤️🔥”
Bäckman likes to strength train to keep herself in shape. She shared this video on Instagram of herself doing forearm lifts with weights at the gym. According to ACE Fitness, strength training has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”
Bäckman likes to work out with others. She shared this video on Instagram of herself working out with a friend. Bäckman captioned the post, “Left arm is not as strong in gym lifts as the right arm, but my left is usually better on the table. Isn’t it funny how that works? Also, people that encourages you to be your best self and then push you to do so are so valuable ❤️🔥 thanks to my great training partner @geoff_boettjer ✨🫶🏼”
Bäckman opened up about her diet in the caption of this Instagram post. She says that she occasionally long fasts. “Why do I fast? Actually, I crave it, usually after some time of ‘loose eating’ where I feel like I have fallen off track and I feel ‘inflamed’. It gets to a point where I feel like I just need a reset and a fast is the healthiest thing you can do to give your body and mind just that. To give every cell a chance to regenerate without having the body deal with digestion.”
Bäckman also revealed in the caption of the previous Instagram post that she mostly intermittent fasts. “I’m going back to intermittent fasting now, my favorite is fasting 20 hours with a 4hr eating window, which gives me two satisfying and purposeful meals each day – pre and post workout ❤️🔥”
