Coldplay frontman Chris Martin suffered a nasty fall through a trapdoor during the band’s Australia concert Sunday.
The “Paradise” hitmaker, 47, took a tumble while speaking to the 50,000-strong crowd at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium during their international “Music of the Spheres” world tour.
In video footage shared on X, the 7-time Grammy winner was seen walking backwards onstage when he accidentally stumbled through an opened trap door.
The fall was followed by a loud gasp from the crowd.
Moments later, a crew member who was standing inside the gap helped the “Fix You” singer, who was dressed in a blue T-shirt and black cargo pants, to get back up onstage.
“That’s, uh, not planned, thank you for catching me,” Martin told the staffer into his mic. “Thank you, guys, holy s–t.”
Luckily, the father of two avoided any injuries from the fall.
Instead, he poked fun at himself, saying the ordeal will “probably be a YouTube moment.”
Coldplay’s “Music of the Spheres” tour is set to continue in the southern hemisphere as the band gears up to travel to Sydney before making a stop in New Zealand.
The band has been touring since March 2022 and is scheduled to run until September 2025.
In September, Martin revealed that the band will only be releasing two more “proper” albums, meaning that their 12th will be their last.
Martin made the revelation during an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, 51.
Coldplay, which is made up of Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman, Will Champion, Phil Harvey and Martin, released their tenth album, “Moon Music,” on Oct. 4.
The record instantly soared to the number one spot, becoming the biggest-selling album by a UK act in three years.
“We are only going to do 12 proper albums, and that’s real,” Martin told Lowe, who didn’t like the idea, saying he wants Coldplay to put out “50 albums.”
“You don’t, because less is more,” the “Fix You” singer pushed back. “And for some of our critics, even less would be even more. It’s really important that we have that limit.”
Martin’s mishap comes just weeks after singer Olivia Rodrigo suffered a major fall through a trapdoor at the Rod Laver Arena in the same city.
The crowd audibly gasped after the “bad idea right?” singer, 21, suddenly disappeared after the stumble during her “Guts World Tour” gig.
Luckily, she walked away from the ordeal without any injuries.
