The follow-up to 2008’s ‘4:13 Dream’, the long-awaited release includes the band’s emotional comeback single, ‘Alone’.

A band with an undeniable influence on the rock scene, The Cure have inspired everyone from Blink-182 and iDKHOW to Deftones and Holding Absence.
Back in 2022, to celebrate the 30th anniversary reissue of ‘Wish’, we looked back into the Rock Sound archive to find out why they have been such a formidable force in the scene.
Speaking on how The Cure have impacted his musical journey, Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus shared:
“Robert Smith and The Cure probably inspired my songwriting the most… From the way that I write lyrics right through to melodies… I think music really connects people to who they are and when you find an artist or a band who you feel are speaking to who you are and your own experiences, that connection is always really strong.”
