Today, Foo Fighters have shared the lineup of superstar guests that will join them in celebrating the life and legacy of their late drummer Taylor Hawkins. The beloved figure in rock music inspired and befriended many both on and off the stage through his unmatched presence and avidity.
As previously reported, Foo Fighters and the Hawkins family are set to honor Hawkins with shows at the Wembley Stadium in London on Sept. 3 and the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on Sept. 27. The fans, friends and past collaborators and acolytes will appear alongside the Foo Fighters at both shows.
The gust list for London will feature Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson of RUSH, Queens Roger Taylor Brian May, Liam Gallagher, Stewart Copeland, Queens of the Stone Age’s Joshua Homme, Chris Chaney of Jane’s Addiciton, comedian Dave Chappelle, Pretenders’ Chrissie Hynde, Omar Hakim, members of Hawkins’ covers band Chevy Metal and Wolfgang Van Halen.
The lineup for the Los Angeles tribute concert will feature Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson of Rush, former band leader of Hawkins Alanis Morissette, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith, Rage Against the Machine’s Brad Wilk, Brian May and Roger Taylor, Queens of the Stone Age’s Joshua Homme and Jon Theodore, Joan Jett, Miley Cyrus, Mötley Crüe’s Nikki Sixx, Copeland, Jane’s Addiction’s Chris Chaney, Gene Simmons, Mark Ronson, Omar Hakim, and Chevy Metal.
Tickets will be available starting Friday, June 17 at 9:00 a.m. local time, and proceeds will benefit charities–chosen by the Hawkins family–in both the U.K. and the U.S. Get tickets to the London show here, and the Los Angeles show here.
