Tyson faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul on November 15 in a bout widely criticised over the 30-year age gap.

And British boxing great Lewis will have a keen eye on the controversial clash after being probed on a rematch with Iron Mike.

He told TMZ: “Let’s see how he makes out in this fight, and then I’ll tell you after.”

The already scrutinised showdown was further slammed when Tyson was forced to pull out of the initial July 20 date.

He suffered an ulcer flare up in his stomach but has since been deemed medically fit to continue training.

Tyson is also required to undergo additional brain and hearts checks ahead of his fight along with pre-bout drug testing alongside Paul.

Paul, 27, has ten wins and only one loss in the boxing ring, losing a 2023 split-decision to Tommy Fury, 25.

Tyson meanwhile returns for his first pro fight since 2005 despite facing Roy Jones Jr in an exhibition bout in 2020.

Lewis walked away in 2004 a year after his victory over Vitali Klitschko.

It was in 2002 that he knocked out Tyson in a bout that they shared a £36m purse in.

But now over two decades later and the former heavyweight champion is backing Tyson to beat Paul – who is 30 years his junior.

Lewis, 59, said: “If he’s in good shape he should be able to take it.”
