Beyoncé is set to appear at Vice President Kamala Harris’ rally in Houston, Texas, on Friday, October 25th, according to multiple reports.
NBC reports the pop star is also expected to perform at Harris’ stop in Beyoncé’s hometown, with The Washington Post adding she will bring along her mother Tina Knowles, as well as country icon Willie Nelson.
In August, Beyoncé was rumored to be a special guest at the final night of the Democratic National Convention, though it turned out that no performance was ever planned.
As the election looms, figures like Taylor Swift, Charli XCX, Insane Clown Posse (!?!?!), and others have made their support for the Democratic nominee known, while others like Chappell Roan and Julian Casablancas explained their reasoning for abstaining from making a formal endorsement (though the former clarified she would still be voting for Harris come November).
Harris has made a habit out of using Beyoncé’s “Freedom” at her campaign rallies, a move the singer approved. A performance of the song at Friday’s rally would be quite fitting.
Beyoncé has continued to be on quite a roll in recent years. Her two latest albums, Renaissance and COWBOY CARTER, both received wide acclaim (and made Consequence’s respective lists), and her “Renaissance” world tour was rivaled only by Taylor Swift in size and excitement.
