Tool have announced a new all-inclusive destination festival taking place March 7th-9th, 2025, at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino & Royalton Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. The three-day event will be headlined by Tool, with Primus, Mastodon, and others also on the lineup..

Dubbed “Tool Live in the Sand,” the resort festival will also feature Coheed and Cambria, Eagles of Death Metal, King’s X, Fishbone, Wheel, CKY, and Moonwalker.

Tool will play two unique sets throughout the weekend; meanwhile, they’ll be joined by their longtime visual collaborators Alex Grey and Allyson Grey. Tool is partnering with live event company Festication for the event, and it will mark the band’s first ever performance in the Caribbean.

Tickets for “Tool Live in the Sand” will first go on-sale for members of the band’s official fan club, Tool Army. The Tool Army pre-sale begins on Tuesday, October 29th 10:00 a.m. PST; existing members will receive a unique code that will allow them to purchase passes before the general sale. Tickets will go on-sale for the general public on Wednesday, October 30th at 10 a.m. PT. All packages, as well as general ticket info, can be found on the event’s official website.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to share the news that Primus, Mastodon, and Coheed and Cambria will be joining us for our first-ever Caribbean performance at ‘Tool in the Sand,’ said Tool bassist Justin Chancellor. “2025 is shaping up nicely. See you all there for what should be an unforgettable weekend of music!”

According to a press release, “Packages include a luxury resort room, unlimited food & drinks for each guest & 3-days of music. Off-site excursions will be available, including snorkeling, catamaran expeditions, rappelling, visits to eco-parks and other activities.”

In addition to the cruise, fans can catch Tool singer Maynard James Keenan’s other bands A Perfect Circle and Puscifer, along with Primus, on the recently announced “Sessanta 2.0” tour taking place next spring.
