Melrose Place Legend Josie Bissett In Workout Gear Shares Sweet Selfie

Melrose Place star Josie Bissett is getting some quality time with her beloved pets—and sharing the cute selfies on her social media. Bissett, 54, posted a picture of herself wearing an Adidas hoodie, snuggling with her sweet cat, and it looks as if she hasn’t aged a day since 1994. “Seriously? She’s killing me with her cuteness. Even though I have a lot to do, I won’t move a muscle 😂,” she captioned the sweet post. Bissett will forever be immortalized as Jane Mancini on the hit ’90s drama—here’s how she is thriving in her 50s.

Bissett tries to live a balanced lifestyle with plenty of sleep. “I eat a plant-based diet and do not consume dairy. However, if I am really craving meat or dairy, I will have it,” she told Ask Us Beauty Magazine. “I am thankful that I absolutely love water. I can’t remember the last time I drank a soda or bought any type of juice. I do, however, love a glass of wine or Prosecco! I am constantly working on creating a balanced life. When I feel balanced, I feel calm and happy and therefore less stressed, and stress looks awful on our skin.”

Bissett has good advice and tips for her daughter and other young people. “I have a few: wear sunscreen, make water your main beverage of choice and drink a lot of it, create healthy sleep patterns and eat mainly plant-based, but listen to your body,” she told Ask Us Beauty Magazine. “Manage stress by paying attention to what makes you happy and do more of that. The importance of caring for her teeth and living a balanced life.”

Bissett swears by walking and yoga to stay lean and strong. “I power walk using arm weights twice a week for about an hour,” she previously told Star. “I try to fit in a 90-minute yoga class twice a week, too.”

Bissett says young people should go to college before trying to make it in entertainment. “If you dive in too young I think [Hollywood] is difficult,” she told Lioness Magazine. “I look at Natalie Portman and the other actresses that I admire and they are smart. They have an education and to be a really good actor, it only benefits you by a thousand times to be smart. If you want to be an actor, you can still go to NYU to study acting. I didn’t go to college and I grew up way too fast. I left home at 16 and nothing could have stopped me and I was so determined. I knew what I wanted, but I also missed out on life without responsibility.”

Bissett says her iconic 90s hair was the result of a botched hairdo. “It was an accident! I love to change my hair and try different looks,” she told Ask Us Beauty Magazine. “I also love to cut my own hair and one time I really had a good hack at it! It wasn’t my best work, so I went to the salon and had it all cut off.”
