Dax Riggs returns after 15 years with explosive new single ‘Deceiver’

After a 15-year hiatus, Dax Riggs has announced his long-awaited return with the release of 7 Songs For Spiders, out January 24, 2025. The album’s lead single, ‘Deceiver,’ sets the stage for a deeply atmospheric and intense comeback.
‘Deceiver’ opens the album with a haunting, heavy tone that builds into a powerful crescendo. Described by Riggs as “some kind of country and western doom ballad,” the track is a reflection on inner light and rejecting the hypocrisy of ancient beliefs. The song showcases Riggs’ signature blend of dark lyricism and genre-bending sound, fusing elements of folk metal, doom, and a raw, gothic energy.
