CARDI B is divorcing her husband Offset for the second time.
Tensions between the two are at an all-time high and have been playing out across social media, with one of Cardi’s Instagram Live videos making big waves.

Cardi, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, has shared that she wants primary custody of her and the Migos rapper’s children, one of whom was born in September 2024.
But how did tensions between the two get so high?
An up-and-down relationship
The Bodak Yellow singer and Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, have had a tumultuous relationship, ever since they first got married in 2017.
They announced their separation in December 2018 before deciding to give their relationship another go.
Then, in 2020, Cardi announced that she had filed for divorce but they reconciled once again, before splitting in 2023.
However, in 2024, Cardi announced that she was filing for divorce shortly before telling that world that she was expecting another baby.

Instagram Live
Cardi took to Instagram Live and shared her anger at the situation that she and Offset had found themselves in.
However, her estranged husband joined the livestream and commented: “You f***ed with a baby inside, tell the truth!!”
Shotrly after, Cardi B took to X to post “AND DID !!!!!!”
Many fans believe that confirms the rumours that she cheated on her husband, but this is not the first accusation of adultery to be levelled in the relationship.
In 2017, footage of Offset in a hotel with another woman surfaced online.
However, Cardi chose to stay by the rapper’s side.
No going back
Cardi shared her thoughts on parenting while in the midst of divorce on X’s Spaces.
She said: “It’s kinda hard — I don’t wanna talk about it ’cause I don’t wanna get emotional — but it’s kinda hard, as an adult, you gonna get used to a certain type of lifestyle without being with somebody.
“But it’s also kinda hard for your kids to get used to that, ‘Your dad is not going to be here with you every day after school.
“Your dad is not going to be picking you up after school.’”
She then said that she doesn’t want the rapper to sleep over at the family’s house so that lines don’t get blurred.
Cardi said: “One thing I don’t want to entertain is, ‘Oh, we’re in the same crib. Come upstairs, let’s sleep together.’
I don’t want to entertain that. I don’t want to sleep, I don’t want to f—k, I don’t wanna do nothin’.”

Parents to three children
The couple have three children together, with their youngest being born on September 7, 2024.
Kulture is Cardi B and Offest’s oldest child and was born in 2018.
Cardi B shared that her record label were worried about her career before she gave birth.
The rapper told Vogue Singapore: “I didn’t have an album out when I found out I was pregnant.”
“Everybody was so nervous for my future, but I kept telling them, ‘It’s easy. Trust me, I’m going to have a nanny and she’s going to travel up and down with me. It’s not even going to be a hassle.’”
However, when Kulture was born, she realized that she didn’t want to be separated from her, so she opted to raise her without a nanny.
Offset and Cardi’s son Wave was born three years later.
The estranged couple have not yet announced the name of their daughter who was born in September 2024, but Cardi has made it clear that she wants primary custody of all three children
