Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes Announce Indefinite Hiatus

After nine years of chaos, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes have announced an indefinite hiatus.

With singer Frank Carter and guitarist Dean Richardson releasing five studio albums as Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, they most-recently landed their fourth UK Top 10 album with 2024’s ‘Dark Rainbow’.

In a statement, the band have shared:

“9 years, 5 Albums, hundreds of stages shared all over the world and our songs sung with each and every one of you.

It is with sadness we announce that The Rattlesnakes are taking a hiatus.

From the deepest lows to highest highs, in grief in anger and in joy, our band has been a celebration of being alive no matter the circumstances.

We want to send our love and thanks to the band – Gareth, Tank, Elliot & Mitch. It’s been a privilege to share the stage with some of the best musicians we know.

So please join us all in celebration of the songs that changed our lives.

Our UK and European Tour will go ahead and we look forward to seeing you all on the dancefloor.

With Love,
Frank & Dean”

With their UK and European dates still set to go ahead, the duo will play the last of their shows for the foreseeable future through October and November.

At the start of the year, we sat down with Frank and Dean to delve into the story behind their fifth album ‘Dark Rainbows’.

On the record, Frank told us:

“There’s a difference between confidence and braveryOnce you stop thinking about what we should be doing, you then just do it. What comes out of that is this authentic identity that we have been steadily crafting around making records and living our lives. And with this record, I’m prouder of it than anything we have done before. It definitely does what we intended, which was to give ourselves that really strong identity moving forward. An authentic identity about who we are as a rock band.”
