Anna McClellan shares gut-wrenching single ‘Paper Alley’

Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter Anna McClellan has unveiled her emotionally charged new single, ‘Paper Alley.’
‘Paper Alley’ promises to be the most raw and vulnerable track from McClellan’s new album, capturing the intense emotions of a relationship that was doomed to fail. Written during a recording session in Baltimore, the song emerged from a moment of revelation for McClellan as she worked with her ex-romantic partner. The minimalistic arrangement allows her heart-wrenching vocals to take center stage as she repeatedly belts, “I don’t wanna go another day,” plunging listeners into the depths of her experience.
Reflecting on the track, McClellan says:
“I started ‘Paper Alley’ with the word ‘And’ like it had already been going and the listener is tuning in mid-thought. It’s a song of yearning. Yearning mostly to stop yearning… No luck yet, stay tuned!”
‘Paper Alley’ is out now. Her forthcoming album, Electric Bouquet, is set for release on October 25, 2024, via Father/Daughter Records.
