The Horrors Revamp Lineup, Announce New Album Night Life

The Horrors have returned with a revamped lineup and announced their new album, Night Life, due out March 21st, 2025 via Fiction Records. As a preview, the UK five-piece has revealed the first single, “The Silence That Remains.”

Marking their first full-length since 2017’s V, The Horrors’ sixth album features the new lineup of founding vocalist Faris Badwan and bassist Rhys Webb joined by original member Joshua Hayward on guitar, Amelia Kidd on keys, and Telegram’s Jordan Cook on drums. As such, Night Life is the band’s first record not to feature all five original members: absent are keyboardist Tom Furse and drummer Joe Spurgeon.

Badwan and Webb began working on demos for the album at Webb’s flat in North London, with initial recording done in Los Angeles with Yves Tumor and Blondshell producer Yves Rothman. Hayward joined them in London to complete the project, with Kidd contributing remotely.

The gothic “Silence That Remains” serves as an apt introduction to this “new chapter” of the band. In a statement, The Horrors described the track as a “3 a.m. insomnia walk through the city, retracing our steps and putting the past to bed.” Watch the accompanying video below.

In late November, The Horrors will head out on an intimate UK tour in support of Night Life, stopping in London, Manchester, Leeds, and more. See the full schedule below.

Fans who pre-order the album will gain access to an artist pre-sale starting on Friday, October 4th. The general on-sale will follow on Friday, October 11th via Ticketmaster.

In between V and Night Life, The Horrors released the 2021 EPs Lout and Against the Blade.
