black midi’s Geordie Greep is gearing up to release his new solo album The New Sound on Friday, October 4th, and he’s shared the latest new song “Blues” as well as a new batch of 2025 North American tour dates.
The new tour dates follow Greep’s brief run of US shows in September, his on-going UK/EU tour, and his previously-announced North American tour going down in the winter of 2025. In addition to second dates added to his stops in Philadelphia and Chicago, Greep has also added a Brooklyn show to the winter run set for February 8th.

After a two month gap, which includes a handful of shows in Asia, Greep will return to the US for a run of shows on the West Coast, starting with an April 28th show in Phoenix. He’ll hit cities like Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Portland, and Seattle, concluding the tour with a May 11th show in Vancouver. See Geordie Greep’s full list of tour dates below.
Tickets for Geordie Greep’s new West Coast tour dates will go on-sale on Friday, October 4th at 10:00 a.m. local time via Greep’s official website.
“Blues” is Greep’s latest single off of The New Sound, following August’s “Holy Holy.” With knotty, frenetic instrumentation and Greep’s signature sneer, “Blues” is a bewildering cut from the former black midi vocalist and guitarist. A lot like “Holy Holy,” Greep gets more manic and unstable throughout, hopping on and off the track’s antsy groove and barking out surrealist hypotheticals. In addition to dropping the studio version, he’s also shared a live video of “Blues” filmed at Greep’s recent show at TV Eye in New York. Stream “Blues” and watch the live video below.
Greep’s new album The New Sound arrives on Friday, October 4th and serves as the musician’s first solo album after the dissolution of black midi.
