The father of eight has now admitted to regaining the weight he lost after stopping his Semaglutide injections, a medication typically used to manage type 2 diabetes but also popular for its weight loss benefits.

Jon posted about his 50-pound loss earlier this year after switching up his eating habits and gym routines.

He shortly began using the popular semaglutide shots, which helped his weight journey but was hit with a shortage of medication that caused the weight to come back.

“I ran out of semaglutide about seven weeks ago,” Gosselin told Fox News. “I couldn’t inject, I couldn’t do anything. So I was just hitting the gym really hard. But I noticed, like I was getting more bloat in my belly and stuff like that, and I was obviously doing more cardio and trying to get rid of it.”

Jon continued, “I gained weight back because, I mean, I was traveling. I was in Myrtle Beach, so I wasn’t cooking. I was eating out, and I just didn’t really want to rely on semaglutide either, because I can’t be on it forever.”

“The hardest thing with weight loss is maintaining that weight loss,” the former TV star noted.

The “Jon & Kate Plus 8” star also spoke about the effects of the popular drug, noting that it helped him suppress hunger.

“I get hungry around 3 a.m. when I’m driving home, and with the semaglutide, it helped suppress that appetite. So I wasn’t eating past like 8 p.m. I was maintaining my weight loss. You’re not hungry at all,” Jon stated. “When I came off semaglutide, you kind of started to fall back into that pattern a little bit, and I was traveling, so I couldn’t maintain my regular schedule.”

Earlier this year, Jon posted a stunning body transformation after he spent years avoiding taking care of himself.

“I never went to the gym, and I never really cared about my physical appearance,” he said. “Now it’s, you know, I changed my life around and totally changed my life with working out and diet and exercise and working with Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center.”

“I feel really comfortable in my own skin, wearing just a tank top or no shirt at all,” Jon added. “It’s kind of weird for me because I’ve always been very conscientious of my weight and my appearance outside of my house. It’s just like a whole new me. And, you know, I bought my first tank top a couple of months ago, and now I have a couple more.”

In a recent appearance on the “Tamron Hall Show” alongside his daughter Hannah, Jon discussed how his children motivated him to take his health seriously.

“I was really concerned about his health and I know that my grandfather passed away when he was 62. Health is a really important thing for surviving and staying alive,” Hannah said, adding that she “was all for tagging along” when her dad started losing weight.

Jon explained that losing his father at a young age and now approaching the age is always on his fans.

“I just want to get right for my kids and be healthy and be around,” he shared. “I’m in a new relationship now, well three years, so you kind of start thinking about marriage and all these kinds of things. You want longevity.”
