Sleek Teeth reveals menacing darkwave single ‘Operating’

L.A.-based darkwave duo Sleek Teeth is back with their latest single, ‘Operating,’ a pulsating track filled with danceable yet ominous beats and sharp synths.
‘Operating’ weaves together elements of pitch-black electro, darkwave, and EBM, creating an intoxicating atmosphere that feels tailor-made for a shadowy underground club. The track’s haunting vocals and menacing production offer a danceable soundscape while exploring deeper, unsettling themes.
In discussing the meaning behind “Operating,” the band reveals:
“It’s hardly a paranoid concept to believe that there are unseen forces perpetually at work in our world. We’re not talking reptilian humanoids pulling the strings from the shadows, but things that are far less fantastic (and potentially just as menacing). Transparency rarely benefits those who would seek to manipulate others for their own gain, so it’s good to remember that what you see isn’t always what you get.”
As the band prepares for their debut EP, ‘Operating’ is a powerful preview of what’s to come. Their debut EP is set for release on October 4, 2024.
