After announcing her new album, Bouquet, earlier this week, Gwen Stefani has released the record’s latest single, “Somebody Else’s.”
The second single from Bouquet to be released — following a duet with her husband, Blake Shelton, titled “Purple Irises” — “Somebody Else’s” fits into the country-influenced sound of Stefani’s new era. Produced by Scott Hendricks, the track was recorded with a full live band, which is featured throughout Bouquet as a whole.
Lyrically, “Somebody Else’s” reflects on a sense of freedom after moving on from a past toxic relationship, with notable lines like “Now that you’re dead to me/ I feel so alive.” Stream the new single below.
To promote “Somebody Else’s,” Stefani will debut the track live on Jimmy Kimmel Live! next Monday, September 30th.
Bouquet itself is due on November 15th, and will mark the first full-length release from Stefani since her 2017 Christmas album, You Make It Feel Like Christmas. Pre-orders are ongoing.
All this follows Stefani’s recent reunion with No Doubt to play at Coachella 2024. Up next, she’s booked to appear at the iHeartRadio Music Festival tonight, and at the South Star Music Festival later this month. Get tickets to her upcoming performances here. Additionally, she’ll return as a coach on The Voice for the show’s eighth season, premiering on September 23rd.
