Friends close to Dave Grohl’s wife, Jordyn Blum, reveal how the mother of three reacted to the rocker’s news that he has fathered a daughter with another woman.
Blum, 48, has known about Grohl’s new child “for a while,” according to a source close to the interior designer who spoke with People.
“She was shocked when she found out about the baby. Her friends are like family, and they rallied around her,” another friend of Blum’s told the outlet.
“Dave’s flirty behavior has been a hurdle in their marriage,” the insider added. “It’s been hurtful to Jordyn.”
Grohl, 55, revealed that he cheated on Blum and had welcomed a child with another woman in an Instagram post on Sept. 10.
“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,” the Foo Fighters frontman wrote.
“I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.”
He added, “We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”
At the time, a rep for Grohl told The Post there was no additional comment from the musician.
Some of Grohl and Blum’s friends were allegedly not surprised by the news.
“We keep reading over and over again how heartbroken everyone is because Dave was supposed to be the ‘good guy,’ the rockstar that didn’t have to do those rockstar things,” a source who knows the couple told People. “And people are crazy about the guy, but there is a rockstar side.”
The friend also noted that the pair’s marriage “felt like an opposites attract type of [relationship].”
Blum is reportedly not letting the scandal draw her attention away from her children. “She’s a great mom and very dedicated to their daughters,” the source added.

The rocker and the former model met in 2001 and married in 2003. The couple share three daughters: Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10.
Though they looked happy together while attending Wimbledon in July, Blum was spotted out in August without her wedding ring just weeks before Grohl shared his shocking announcement with the world.
Just two days after Grohl publicly copped to his infidelity, a person claimed to be his mistress and posted a photo of a child, alleging the infant was the rocker’s daughter; however, his team quickly slammed the viral post as a fake.
