Charli prioritizes fitness for both the internal and external benefits. “I perform in a really high octane and energetic type of way. So, for me, it’s important to keep fit. Also, I find that if I don’t exercise, I feel less awake. I try to workout five times a week because it really lifts my mood and makes me feel more positive. It’s important for me to stay balanced,” she told Forbes.
Charli refuses to abide by a strict diet. Instead, she eats healthy and indulges in moderation. “I think you’ve just got to do your thing. I mean I love pizza, and I think everyone is human and they go for that stuff,” she told DailyMail. “You shouldn’t stress about that stuff.”
Charli’s busy lifestyle makes it “really hard” to workout all the time, “especially when I’m flying,” she explained. “And whilst I do really want to try to work out five days a week minimum, it’s just not practical for me when I’m traveling so much. It’s just a balance in life. Just making sure you take care of yourself. It often like starts really well and then as the tour progresses it gets a little bit harder. I try my best to kind of sustain throughout.”
Charli travels a lot for work, but refuses to make it an excuse to skip a workout. When she’s on the road, she brings a few essentials to get an anytime-anywhere workout in. “I always take a yoga mat everywhere and do body-weight exercises. I try to do that before each show. It really works for me,” she told Forbes.
Charli has two tools, which are great for her health and also for getting herself back on track when she is traveling. “Jet lag is really hard. I try my best to get on the new time zone as soon as possible and just sleep when I need to sleep. Also, drinking lots of water,” she told Forbes.
Another way Charli gets her cardio in? Dancing. Since it is a work requirement, she doesn’t have to struggle to meet her cardio goals. “I guess being on stage is like exercise,” she told the DailyMail.
