THE VMAs have had many iconic performances throughout the night, but fans were left wondering where the awards were.
On Wednesday night, A-list celebs were all in one building for the MTV Video Music Awards.
Throughout the night, viewers have seen performances from Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, and Megan Thee Stallion.
However, fans were left confused as to why the awards were sprawled out so much during the three-hour award show.
Two hours into the show, only four awards were given out live on stage.
First was Best Collaboration, which was won by Taylor Swift and Post Malone for Fortnight.
Second, Katy Perry performed and was given her Vanguard award from her husband Orlando Bloom.
Third was Best Afrobeats, won by Tyla and her hit anthem Water.
Just before the second hour ended, Sabrina Carpenter was shocked to learn that she had won Song of the Year for Espresso.
‘WHERE ARE THEY?’
On X, fans expressed their thoughts.
One said, “Are there no awards for the VMAs i’m so confused.
“It’s been back to back performances where are the awards?”
A second added, “Sooo no more awards I mean it’s been like an hour.”
“VMAs are so slow,” a third mentioned.
“Okay, 12 performances in a row. Where are the awards?” a fourth pointed out.
