Harper Willow was born in 2009 and the couple’s youngest daughter, Ophelia Saint, five years later.

His two eldest daughters, Violet and Harper, have deleted their Instagram accounts following their dad’s shock announcement.

He revealed he had fathered a secret fourth daughter, telling fans: “I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage.

“I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her.

“I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.

“We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”

Grohl’s eldest daughter Violet is also a musician and performed with him at Glastonbury last year.

He called her his “favourite singer in the world” on stage.

The 18-year-old released a cover of 1980 song Nausea by punk band X with her dad three years ago.

His wife Jordyn has stayed out of the spotlight after working as a model and producer at MTV.

They married in 2003 after dating for two years but he confessed she was almost the one who got away.

“When I first met my wife, we went out on a few dates and I decided that I wasn’t ready for a serious relationship, so I just stopped calling,” he shared to Elle.

Despite Dave not reaching out, he eventually made a 180.

“After three months, I had a revelation and called her back. She picked up the phone and said, ‘Oh, I never thought I’d hear from you again,'” he recalled to the magazine.

It comes as his ex Tina Basich claimed in her 2003 memoir that Grohl cheated on her during their relationship.

They dated for two years but split up around the time that she broke her leg.

The American snowboarder penned: “I don’t know how anyone in his profession can have a normal relationship with a girlfriend…or two, as it turned out.

“I found out secondhand, through the grapevine, when it seemed like everyone else in the world knew about it but me.”

FAMILY MAN

The couple’s youngest daughter, Ophelia Saint, was born in 2014 shortly after Grohl was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as Nirvana’s drummer.

He famously announced they were expecting at the induction ceremony, posing with his hand on Jordyn’s bump at the event.

“I used to tour nine months out of the year. Now I don’t like being away from my kids for more than 12 days,” the hitmaker told Time in 2009 of how important family is to him.

“It’s changed everything that I do. When you have kids, you see life through different eyes. You feel love more deeply and are maybe a little more compassionate,” he added.
