AMY Adams’s daughter Aviana has made her red carpet debut at her mom’s new movie premiere after fans slammed the film’s trailer.
The pair were joined by Amy’s husband and Aviana’s father Darren Le Gallo at the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of Nightb**ch on Saturday, September 7.
Amy, 50, donned a navy blue, off-the-shoulder, Prada gown as she posed for photos on the TIFF red carpet.
The plunging, bejeweled dress flaunted the Nocturnal Animals star’s slim figure as the stone accents glinted under the flashing lights of cameramen and women.
Amy’s red locks were parted on the side and tucked behind her ears as they flowed gracefully down her back.
The Hollywood actress accessorized her film festival ensemble with jewelry from Cartier.
14-year-old Aviana sported a strapless black dress with strappy black sandals for her red carpet debut.
The teenager’s long, light red hair was parted down the middle and fell past her chest.
Darren donned an all-black outfit including an open button-up shirt beneath a suit jacket and matching pants.
While the Sam & Kate actor’s hair couldn’t match the length of his wife’s or daughter’s, Darrren’s graying locks did fall neatly above his shoulders while framing his freshly manicured face.
Amy’s castmates Scoot McNairy, Adrienne Rose White, Archana Rajan, and Emmett and Arleigh Snowden also attended the premiere.
As did Marielle Heller, who directed Nightb**ch, and Rachel Yoder, the author of the novel in which the film is adapted.
Amy opened up about what it means to share the movie with her daughter while speaking with People on the TIFF red carpet.
“Parts of it I’m excited to share with her, being that it’s her mom I’m gonna be a little bit more protective of certain aspects of the filmmaking,” the Disenchanted star said, referencing Nightb**ch and being a producer on the movie.
She continued, “I think what I want her to know about my experience of motherhood is how much she’s enriched my life and made me the woman that I am today.
“I tell her that all the time, but it’s true and I’m glad that she’s here tonight to get to celebrate with me.”

ABOUT THE FILM
In Nightb***h, Amy plays a stay-at-home mom who fears she is turning into a dog.
A synopsis described the main character as “an artist who pauses her career to be a stay-at-home mom as she seeks a new chapter in her life and encounters exactly that when her nightly routine takes a surreal turn and her maternal instincts begin to manifest in canine form.”
“As she embraces the feral power deeply rooted in motherhood, she becomes increasingly aware of the bizarre and undeniable signs that she may be turning into a dog,’ the summary continued.
The film is set to premiere theatrically on December 6, 2024.
FAN REACTION
Last week, a new trailer for Nightb**ch was released on YouTube, and while some fans appeared excited by the quirky premise of the film others expressed disappointment over its comedic tone.
In the video’s comment section, one person wrote, “I thought they are making a dark psychological drama, leaning into the tone of the book.
“This trailer suggests comedy which I didn’t expect at all tbh.”
“Nightb**ch’s tone felt a lot more introspective and cynical and dark alongside the humor… but this feels more… commercially funny, mentioned another.
The fan then begged, “Please god, tell me that the trailer is setting this up to be lighter as a misdirect.”
A third fan complained, “This trailer looks like it missed the tone of the novel completely oof.”
“Wasn’t expecting this to be a comedy,” admitted a fourth.
A fifth commenter asked, “What the actual f**k is this?” adding, “I detest when adaptations completely change the tone of the source material.”
“Nightb**ch is exactly the reason I avoid movie trailers because people are already saying, ‘This isn’t what I was expecting at all, I thought it would be better and darker’ and I’m like, well… maybe it is and this is just a trailer that poorly conveys the tone?” reasoned another.
