M. Night Shyamalan's The Sixth Sense and Signs Coming to 4K

M. Night Shyamalan’s classic thrillers The Sixth Sense and Signs are getting released in 4K Ultra HD for the first time. Both films are now available in 4K UHD digital, with the 4K Ultra HD Blu-rays following on October 22nd.

For the release, the original negatives for both movies were scanned at 4K resolution and restored in High Dynamic Range in their original 1.85:1 aspect ratios. There are currently no details about bonus features. Pre-order the 4K UHD Blu-rays for The Sixth Sense here and Signs here.

A digital bundle of both films with Unbreakable will be available as well.

Starring Bruce Willis as a child psychologist and Haley Joel Osment as his patient who claims he can see dead people, The Sixth Sense is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Both a critical and commercial success, the film picked up six Oscar nominations and established Shyamalan as an international star.

Signs followed three years later, with Mel Gibson starring as a former Episcopal priest who discovers mysterious crop circles that point to extraterrestrial life. With a global box office exceeding $400 million, it remains Shyamalan’s second-biggest movie behind The Sixth Sense, which grossed well over $600 million worldwide.

Shyamalan’s latest movie, Trap, received its digital 4K UHD release on August 30th. Pre-orders are available for the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray and standard Blu-ray discs ahead of their release on November 5th.
