Sara Landry, scorcher of dancefloors and rewirer of minds, has announced her long-awaited debut album, Spiritual Driveby.
As the self-anointed “High Priestess of Hard Techno” prepares to unleash her sonic grimoire, anticipation is building for an album that will crystallize one of the most explosive electronic music breakouts in recent memory. The EDM.com Class of 2024 superstar has built a large and devoted following with her uncompromising approach to the genre, fearlessly pushing the tempo to the bleeding edge on the stages of the world’s biggest festivals.
Opening up about the album, Landry paints a picture of techno production that weaves big questions through hyperkinetic rhythms, channeling the invisible threads that bind us all. Her audacious claim? We’re unwitting collaborators in this cosmic dance.
“This sonic offering was motivated and inspired by the notion that none of us are alone because we are all energetically linked,” Landry said in a press release shared with EDM.com. “Everything we do is interwoven and collaborative, whether we realize it or not. Every musical experience we’ve ever had, every show we’ve been to, every euphoric moment that echoes across time has been a collaborative experience and a stacking of energies.”
Spiritual Driveby, Landry adds, was completed after a 15-month period of writer’s block. She credits her many collaborators, including Mike Dean, Nico Moreno, Shlømo, Aaron Hibell, LEGZDINA and Alex Farell, for helping break the cycle. The album also features her personal hypnotist, whose haunting vocals appear on its prelude.
Spiritual Driveby is scheduled to release October 4th via Landry’s own record label, HEKATE. Check out her announcement below and pre-save the album here.
