Tate McRae lays on the beach in tiny bikini during tropical vacation with boyfriend The Kid LAROI after tour ends

TATE McRae is enjoying some much-needed down time after back-to-back performances of her Think Later world tour.

The Canadian-born singer, 21, recently took to Instagram to share photos from her tropical getaway to Bora Bora with her boyfriend, Australian rapper The Kid LAROI.

In one photo, Tate could be seen lying on the beach as she showed off her tan in a tiny blue, triangle bikini top with black bottoms.

She teased the release of her latest single by writing its title – “It’s ok, I’m ok” – in the sand as Tate gazed towards the ocean.

She captioned the photo, “Wait when?????”

Fans declared they’re “not okay,” while urging Tate to drop the new song, with one person writing, “Is this real or are my eyes twitching?”

Another fan comment read, “Never been more ready, baddie.”

A third Instagram user speculated that Tate might release the single by “the end of this month or October.”

Shortly after, Tate reshared The Kid LAROI’s Instagram post documenting their time together in Bora Bora on her Stories, without giving any further details about her new song.

In one of the pictures, Tate and The Kid LAROI, whose real name is Charlton Kenneth Jeffrey Howard, help up victory signs while enjoying their time water skiing.

While the Greedy singer opted to wear a cute, pink-and-white bikini, The Kid LAROI flaunted his abs by going shirtless in his selfie with Tate.

Fans declared they were “obsessed” with the celebrity couple, with one person writing, “The two most iconic people of 2024 together you guys are perfect!”

Another comment read, “You & Tate are my fav celeb couple I’m happy to see you guys spending time together but I still think you should make a song together.”

“u and tate are glowing together and i’m so here for it,” a third user declared.

RELATIONSHIP HISTORY

Rumors that a romance was brewing between Tate and The Kid Laroi, who was previously in a relationship with TikTok influencer Katarina Deme, began in January this year.

The duo confirmed they were dating the following month, when they were photographed holding hands during a double date with Justin Bieber and wife Hailey Bieber in Toronto, Canada.

The Kid LAROI publicly addressed Tate as his girlfriend while performing at a concert in Dublin, Ireland on April 14, 2024.

“I need everybody in here to sing this as loud as they can because my girlfriend’s here tonight, and I don’t want to look lame,” the 21-year-old singer said, as cameras panned to Tate watching backstage.

“If you guys don’t sing this really loud… it’s going to embarrass me,” he added.

The couple went Instagram official in July this year, after the STAY hitmaker marked Tate’s birthday with a sweet message on his Instagram Stories.

Alongside a photo of the pair kissing, The Kid LAROI wrote, “happy 21st birthday, you make me better! I love yoooouuu, Tate McRae.”

One month later, Tate celebrated his birthday on Instagram by posting a cute video of her and The Kid Laroi dancing together.

SCARY FALL

Last month, Tate sparked concern after the Grammy-nominated singer fell during her performance at the Lollapalooza music festival.

Fans became worried that Tate had suffered a serious leg injury after she tripped down a short flight of stairs on-stage, with one X user writing, “Did she twist her ankle? Looks like her leg split in half.”

Tate first catapulted to stardom as a dancer, after she competed on So You Think You Can Dance in 2016.

She finished the competition in third place, before winning the Teen Best Female Dancer at the 2018 Dance Awards.

The win made Tate the first person in history to win the award in all three age categories: mini, junior, and teen.

In 2017, Tate began recording songs from her bedroom and posting them on YouTube, in addition to uploading dance videos.

The smash success of her single One Day, which has over 40 million views on YouTube, led to Tate signing with RCA Records in 2019.

Since then, she’s released two EPs, and her single Tear Myself Apart was co-written by Grammy winners Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell.

Her first album, I Used To Think I Could Fly, debuted at number 13 on the US Billboard 200 when it was released in 2022.

She released her second studio album, Think Later, on December 8, 2023.

Its lead single, Greedy, was the second-biggest US and global debut on Spotify when it was released and has since been streamed more than one billion times.

Before she began dating The Kid LAROI, Tate was in a relationship with NHL star Cole Sillinger for nearly two years.

They reportedly parted ways in 2023, with Tate taking down all their photos together from Instagram.
