HOLLYWOOD movie actor Steve Buscemi showed he is an action hero in real life — after breaking up a street fight in Dublin.
The Reservoir Dogs star was snapped by a local who was stunned to see him acting as peacemaker after the dust-up in the posh suburb of Dalkey.
The photo and post was placed on the Dalkey Open Forum Facebook page by member Oisin Heavey, with a photo of the Hollywood star in action.
He wrote: “Dalkey delivers . . . did anyone notice who the man that ran in to attempt breaking up the fight outside The Dalkey Duck about 20 minutes ago was?
“It was Steve Buscemi of Con Air / Boardwalk Empire fame.
“He was beside us having dinner in Bubba’s — I’m completely mind-blown nobody seemed to recognise him due to all the commotion outside the Dalkey Duck.
“I spoke with him after and he said it was the first brawl he’s ever seen. . . which I don’t entirely believe.
“Playing it cool, I wished him well and didn’t get a picture with him…but wow, lovely guy.”
Buscemi, 66, has been filming the Addams Family spin-off series Wednesday alongside Jenna Ortega in Dublin and has been spotted hanging out in Dalkey.
Oisin said the Big Lebowski star was at the table beside him for 90 minutes.
He told the Irish Independent: “We could see there were loads of people outside, kind of looking up towards where he had gone, so we assumed he was spotted.
“When we went outside, there was actually a very vicious fight going on, and that’s what everybody was looking at.
“Steve Buscemi was kind of standing there completely unnoticed.
“He was very close to it, but he held himself back from breaking it up.
“He stood over the guy on the ground for a few seconds, and the fight naturally broke up after that.
“Some people said he broke up the fight, but he didn’t. He tried to help, which is more than most people would do.”
Social media users were stunned at the revelation after it emerged.
One said: “Steve Buscemi breaking up a fight in the middle of Dalkey this afternoon was not on my 2024 bingo card!”
Another said it was just another class act from the popular star, writing: “Another data point in the series showing Buscemi to be one of the soundest lads going. See also returning to his old ladder on 911.”
