Why Jennifer Lopez Feels ‘Upset And Disappointed’ With Ben Affleck

The singer and dancer began divorce proceedings against the “Argo” star on August 20, after months of speculation that their marriage had failed.

Since Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s split, the actor has been linked with Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s daughter.

Lopez is reportedly harboring some ill feelings towards Affleck as she waits for her separation to be finalized.

A source revealed to People Magazine that the 55-year-old has been “really hit hard” by the divorce, despite her efforts to project a strong front since deciding to end the marriage.

Along with the pain of losing her marriage, Lopez feels “very upset and disappointed” with Affleck, who had moved out of their $68 million Beverly Hills mansion well before the divorce was filed.

With Lopez having the house all to herself, she is finding it difficult to stay there alone. According to the source,  the mansion’s massive size, along with the flood of memories—both good and bad— are the reasons why she feels this way.

The insider added, “She and Ben bought the house for the whole family. It’s way too big for her and filled with too many memories as well.”

Recently, sources close to Lopez shared insight into her marriage, telling People that the singer spent a “lot of time making sure” Affleck was “happy.” This included ensuring he had “everything he needed” and even caring for him in an almost “childlike” way.

However, despite her immense commitments, Lopez still had to deal with Affleck being “very moody and dark at times,” which seemingly contrasted with her more upbeat way of living.

A different source provided more explanation for his dark moods, claiming that the “Accountant” star “has never handled stress well” and doesn’t have “good coping skills.”

The insider explained, “He gets easily frustrated and tends to be moody. When he’s relaxed and in a good mood, it’s amazing to be around him. But more often, he’s upset or frustrated.”

They added, “Many times, it’s just something small that he gets stuck on. He really doesn’t understand how his bad mood affects people around him. It’s just not fun being around that kind of negativity.”

Lopez and Affleck did not welcome any children during their marriage, although they did share a blended family.

On Lopez’s part, she has two kids,  twins Max and Emme, 16, with ex Marc Anthony. Meanwhile, Affleck has three kids, Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, with ex Jennifer Garner.

Since the duo started leaving apart, Lopez hasn’t shied away from being around Affleck’s kids. Recent reports have confirmed that she paid a rare visit to Affleck’s rental home to spend some time with his kids.

However, Affleck has yet to reciprocate the gesture, hinting that he might be trying to cut off whatever connection they shared while he was married to their mother.

A source shared, per People, “The fact that he has not seen her kids in a long time, it’s like he left, but she is especially close to his kids.”

Although Lopez and Affleck’s divorce may take months to finalize, the latter has already been linked to another woman.

Rumors have swirled that Affleck has been “hanging out” with Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s daughter, Kick Kennedy. However, neither of them has addressed the nature of their connection.

According to a source, Affleck and Kick aren’t just meeting for the first time as they have shared a bit of romance in the past, which never overlapped with Affleck’s relationship with Lopez.

“Ben and Kick had a fling before he got back together with JLo,” the insider revealed, per Daily Mail. “They met because Ben is from Boston, and when you live in Boston, the Kennedy family is royalty.”

“They didn’t have any affair during his marriage, but it is interesting to Kick’s friends that as soon as this divorce happened all of a sudden Ben is hanging out with an old hookup whose family he sees as royalty.”

A source close to the music superstar spoke to Peopleand revealed that Lopez is “doing as well as she can” after making the huge move to end her marriage.

She filed for divorce on what would have been the two-year anniversary of their beautiful and lavish Georgia wedding.

The source revealed that Lopez never wanted a divorce, but Affleck left her no choice. They said, “It’s been incredibly difficult for her that Ben chose to pull away from their marriage and move on with his life, leaving her behind. She didn’t want a divorce. She wanted to figure things out. They love each other.”

The source insisted that Lopez is “not the type to just give up” on anything, much less marriage, but she really had no choice because “it’s been almost torture for her to wait around.”

However, now that Lopez has finally filed for divorce, the “Atlas” star reportedly “seems relieved.”
