Ben Lukas Boysen unveils new single ‘Quasar’ from upcoming album Alta Ripa

Ben Lukas Boysen has announced his forthcoming album Alta Ripa, set for release on November 29th via Erased Tapes.
‘Quasar’ is an introduction to the stylistic evolution Boysen has undergone for his latest album. The track opens with ethereal, spectral sounds before gradually transforming into a rhythmic piece that balances head-nodding grooves with dance-floor energy. This progression mirrors the broader themes of Alta Ripa, which blends Boysen’s rural German roots with the pulsating electronic influences of Berlin, where he has lived since the early 2000s.
Reflecting on the album, Boysen describes it as a return to his musical origins, infused with the experiences and knowledge he has gained throughout his career.
Here he discusses the personal journey that Alta Ripa represents:
“It’s something the 15-year-old in me would have liked to hear but only the grown-up version of myself can write.”
As Boysen prepares to embark on a North American and European tour with Kiasmos, ‘Quasar’ sets the tone for an album that promises to be both a nostalgic reflection and a bold step forward in his musical journey.
