JUDGE Mathis’ estranged wife Lisa Yvette Mathis has filed for divorce from the TV judge, with their last PDA-packed appearance taking place two months prior.
Linda Mathis, the soon-to-be ex-wife of Judge Mathis, whose full name is Gregory Ellis Mathis Sr, filed for divorce this week.

The divorce was filed on August 22, according to court documents obtained and shared by E! News.
But just 10 weeks ago, Judge and his wife were packing on the public displays of affection while attending an event.

On June 6, the couple headed to Live From Detroit: The Concert At Michigan Central.
Sharing a snap from the event on his social media at the time, Judge Mathis gushed over the event, while the photo displayed the couple looking cozy and close.

In the photo, Judge Mathis could be seen with his arms around Lisa’s waist.
Grinning widely for the camera, the couple looked loved up and smitten.

For the event, Judge Mathis wore a checkered suit while his wife wore a strapless cream peplum top and some matching flared trousers.
Captioning the post at the time he shared it, Judge Mathis penned, “GUESS WHO’S BACK?! Detroit celebrated the reopening of Michigan Central, a landmark event with an all-star concert of Detroiters.”
He concluded, “Linda and I had a great time watching our city shine.”
FANS PLEADING
Since the news of the couple’s split emerged, fans have flocked to the TV judge’s Instagram page, with many writing comments under his PDA-packed snap with Lisa.
“Stay together [heart emoji] 39 years,” penned one.

A second pleaded: “Please call off the divorce.”
“Keep your head up! God will save y’all’s relationship,” added a third.
And a fourth said, “We are about to be all in these comments about you and Linda. We don’t play about yall. Whatever it is, work it out.
“Go apologize. Win your wife’s heart back, please. Your extended family loves yall. I feel like my uncle and aunt are splitting up.
“I hope both of you read the comments together. Don’t let the world rob you of your marriage, please.”

Judge Mathis and Lisa got married in June 1985, with them welcoming four children.
Linda revealed in the documents that they separated on July 17, meaning they parted ways a little over a month after they stepped out looking smitten.
The reason behind the couple’s split has been listed as “irreconcilable differences” in the documents.

The aforementioned outlet also revealed they learned from the papers that Linda is seeking spousal support from her estranged husband.
She is also “requesting that her requirement of spousal support be waived.”

Judge Mathis is known for being a TV judge.
The television program, Judge Mathis, ran for 24 years until 2023.
